Jerzy Płatek, “Sweet Jerry,” age 71, of Chicago, passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2023. Born January 12, 1952 in Krakow, Poland to the late Kazimierz and the late Stefania Płatek, Jerzy was a loving father, cherished grandfather, and proud great-grandfather; he was the dear brother of Krystyna Arczynski and Wiesław Płatek. Jerzy will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and will also be remembered as a dear uncle, friend, and neighbor. Family and friends to meet Monday, April 10, 2023 11 a.m. at St. Constance Church, 5843 W. Strong St., Chicago. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
