Mary “Tess” Mahoney
Native of Askelane, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Beloved wife of 38 years to the late Jack Mahoney, loving mother of Eileen McManus and Mary Mahoney, proud grandma of Caitlyn and Lauryn McManus, and great grandma “G-Ma” to Holden Michael.
Devoted daughter of the late Mary and Richard Lyons “Dixie”, sister to the late Beecie, Annie (Tom Gibbons), Redmond, Mary, Dick (Rita), Paddy, Mike and Tom Lyons.
Survived by her loving brother John (Brenda) Lyons, Askelane and fond sister-in-laws Bridie, Mary and Kathleen Lyons and Brother in law Br. Tom Mahoney. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Beloved by so many.
A visitation for Tess will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 9:30am until 10:30am at St Germaine Catholic Church, 9711 S Kolin Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow and begin at 10:30am. Interment Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 2755 W. 111th St., Chicago, IL 60655.
