Janice “Jan” G. Dryfhout

May 1, 1949  March 27, 2025

Janice Gail “Jan” Dryfhout (nee Boss), age 75, of Frankfort, IL passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 27th, 2025. Beloved wife for 54 years to Denny. Loving mother of Jeff (Becky) Dryfhout, Mike (Tammy) Dryfhout, and Brian (Becca) Dryfhout. Dear mother-in-law to Jill (Steve) Mehnert. Loving grandma to Jordan, Maddie, Jack, Zack, Kyle, Elena, Carson and Max. Loving daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Boss. Dear sister of the late Warren (Judy) Boss. Fond sister-in-law of Audrey and the late Roger Dryfhout. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Cornelius and Dena Dryfhout. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Jan’s life was marked by her trust in the goodness of God the Father, the work of his perfect Son Jesus on the cross, and the ever-present guidance of the Holy Spirit. Secure in her salvation, she lived to share the love she had received with others.

As an early childhood development preschool teacher for decades, Jan touched the lives of thousands of children throughout her tenure, demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ. Always demonstrating sacrificial love, she constantly put others above herself, blessing others with acts of service, helping others with meals, and always willing to bring others into her home. A fixture in church choirs, Jan had a beautiful voice and loved to sing about the goodness of God.
