Jason A. Froling

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jason A. Froling, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left us on July 22, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on June 19, 1975, in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Jason was a man of remarkable strength and unwavering dedication. He worked as a hard-working tankerman, known for his diligent work ethic and commitment to his profession.
Jason had a zest for life that touched everyone around him. He was a fantastic cook, often bringing joy to family gatherings with his culinary creations. His love for bird watching exemplified his appreciation for the beauty of nature, and he found immense joy in exploring the great outdoors. Jason was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, passionately supporting his team through every high and low. He cherished adventures with his family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.
Above all, Jason loved his family more than anything. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tiana Froling (nee Shafer), and his cherished daughters, Paige (Cameron) Berndt, and Olivia Froling. Jason’s legacy will also live on in his grandson, William Berndt, who brought immense pride to his grandfather. He is additionally mourned by his father, Harry Froling, and his brothers, Scott, Richard, and Nick Froling. Jason’s nieces and nephews, Maddie, Nathan, Kyle, and Kaylynne, will also remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Diana Froling (nee Koehl), whose memory will continue to be honored by the family.
A visitation will be held on July 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with funeral service beginning at 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel Ltd, located at 102 Francis Rd, New Lenox, Illinois. The family invites all who knew and loved Jason to join them in celebrating his life and sharing in the memories of a remarkable man. For those unable to attend we will be live streaming the service, the link will be provided below and will be live 5 minutes prior to start of service.
