Jesse A. Acosta, passed suddenly Friday, October 14, Retired CPD; Beloved husband of Lisa, nee Shinnick, married 26 years, lifelong friends for 32 years; Loving father of Abigail and Lillianna Acosta; Devoted son of Jesse R. and Vonda Acosta; Dear brother of Angel (Teo) Dominguez, Sandra Acosta, and Tamara (Casey) Ciner; Fond son-in-law to Robert & Anna Shinnick; Adored uncle, nephew, cousin, and brother-in-law; Treasured friend to many who will miss him deeply. Jesse was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marines from 1985-1989, and loyal 30-year Veteran and Chicago Police Officer until his retirement in September, 2021.
Visitation Tuesday, October 18, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.;
Funeral Wednesday, October 19, 10:00 a.m. from Robert J. Sheehy & Sons, 9000 151st, Orland Park to St. Christina Church, 111th & Christiana Ave., Chicago; Mass 11:30 a.m.
