Cristina Lenard, nee Borges, age 56, passed away peacefully in her home November 15 th , 2025. Beloved wife for 22 years to Joseph M. Lenard. Loving mother of Maria Madalena Lenard and Isabella Virginia Lenard. Cherished daughter of Joao (Ana Francisca) Borges and the late Virginia Borges. Dearest sister of Karla (Rafael) Borges and Luiz Alberto (Daniella) Borges. Dear daughter-in-law of Deborah and the late William Lenard. Fond sister-in-law of Steven Lenard. Dear aunt of Maria Clara Carvalho, Maria Fernanda Carvalho, Francisco Borges, Flora Borges, Nathan Lenard, and Liam Lenard.
Known for her vibrant spirit and boundless kindness, she lived her life with a deep devotion to family and to the values that shaped her. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she embraced every chapter with passion — studying marketing, working in television production, and later traveling Brazil as a flight attendant. After moving to the United States, she continued to build a life rooted in service, working in the food industry and volunteering wherever she was needed, always eager to help others. Her greatest joy, however, came from creating a loving home. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into her family, nurturing, guiding, and caring with a grace that touched all who knew her. For the past nine years, she faced ALS with extraordinary courage and unwavering dignity, surrounded by the love of her family, until she peacefully completed her journey.
Visitation Friday, November 21, 2025, from 3-8PM at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155 th /Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park. Visitation continues Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the upstairs Chapel at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL from 10:00AM until time of Funeral Service 12:00 Noon. (Park in the EAST lot to enter. Go to the Chapel on the 2nd Floor) Interment private.
