Dominic A. Regan, 90 of Naples, Florida sadly passed away on December 9th, 2023.   Dominic is survived by his wife, Denise (Hart) and his children Mike, John (Margaret), Joan Zigulich (John), Don (Lisa), and Patrick (Kate).  Also, he leaves behind 16 loving grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren (with 3 more on the way). He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (2010) and son, James (1970).

Dominic was born in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland.  He immigrated to America and settled down in Chicago, IL. at the age of 18.  He served in the US Army for 6 years and attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5).  After serving his country, he wanted to get involved in the building trades and started work as a carpenter.  From there, Dominic and business partner, Ed McGowan founded and operated two successful companies (EDON Construction and DREMCO, Inc) focused on residential construction.  Dominic served as president on 2 occasions for the South Suburban Home Builders Assoc in the Chicagoland area.  Also, he was active with the National Association of Home Builders as well. Dominic was a devoted father.  He was a Boy Scout Leader for 18 years.  He retired in Naples in 2001.  Dominic kept himself busy in his retirement years.  He was an avid golfer, member of Vanderbilt Country Club and was active with the Knights of Columbus, St John’s and St Agnes Church. 

A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 18th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beverly Ridge Funeral Home located at 10415 S. Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL., 60655.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19th at 10:00 am at St. John Fisher Church located at 10235 S. Fairfield Ave, Chicago, IL., 60655.  Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery located in Evergreen Park, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity:  https://www.habitat.org/
