Eileen DuBoe

Eileen DuBoe, beloved daughter of Bess and William Romanek and widow of Burton DuBoe, passed away peacefully on April 24th at the age of eighty-eight. She is cherished by her children, Robert and Wendy; son-in-law, Leon; grandchildren, Sean, Lauren, and Bailey; step-grandchildren, Gabi and Ben; and many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Eileen began her college journey at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated from Northwestern University. In partnership with her husband, Burt, she built a successful real estate development firm. Her extraordinary life was filled with deep family bonds, cherished friendships, and meaningful connections. Known for her care, wisdom, grace, and beauty, Eileen was whip-smart, artistic, and blessed with a sharp sense of humor. She lived with humility, joy, and an unwavering zest for life.
A dedicated volunteer, Eileen contributed to Little City, local schools, the PTA, and numerous charities. Her passions included tennis, painting, playing the piano, and traveling the world.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 10AM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Eileen DuBoe to the Jewish United Fund (JUF) (www.juf.org/donate) are greatly appreciated.
