Earl David Green Sr.

Earl David Green Sr.

June 4, 1938 ~ February 6, 2021

Earl David “Bud” Green was born on June 4, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. After a brief and courageous fight against brain cancer and the coronavirus, he entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2021.

Bud was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 597 and loved his work. Bud could fix just about anything and was always willing to help his family and friends repair or remodel whatever they needed or wanted. Even after retirement, he never stopped working. He was an active member of his church and his community. He took pride in his perfectly kept lawn and in the renovations of his Mesa and Hometown homes.

He enjoyed his trips to France, San Diego, San Francisco and his home away from home in Arizona. Bud loved people. He was blessed to be part of a large extended family and had many dear friends. He always made time to stop by for a fresh cup of coffee and some good conversation.

He never forgot his family that went before him and devotedly maintained their graves at Evergreen Cemetery.

Bud is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 12 years, Maureen Keating and her sons John Heller and Daniel (Natalie) Heller. He was the father of Laura (Paul) Green Van Zee and Earl (Patricia) Green; the grandfather of Sarah, Mark (Kim), Aaron Green Van Zee, Danny, Sophia and Cecilia Heller; and the great grandfather of Brianna, Peyton and Nicholas Green Van Zee and Gianna Spain.

Bud is also survived by his caring sister Roberta Jean Morris, his brother Franklin Green, and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bud was a good and compassionate man who would never back down from what is just and right.

He will be laid to rest with his departed loved ones at Evergreen Cemetery.

Bud was preceded in death by his loving parents Charles Edward Green and Ella Nora Nixon, and by his beloved Aunt Gussie.

He was also preceded in death by his 4 sisters and 5 brothers: Lucille (Late Walter) Kelly, Rhoda “Sis” (Late Ralph) Anderson, Betty (Late Donald) Kelm, Dorothy (Late Robert) Heisler, Charles “Sonny” (Late Dorothy) Green, Ralph “Shorty” (Late Dorothy) Green, William “Bill”  (Late Rita) Green, Arthur “Art” (Late Joyce) Green and Robert Green.

Bud will be dearly missed and remembered forever.

Due to the coronavirus, services will be private.
