Edward T Dougherty, age 52, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Edward was born October 22, 1969. Loving husband of Margaret Dougherty (nee Reynolds); Loving father of Ryan and Liam; Beloved son of Patricia and the late Terrence Dougherty; Cherished brother of Daniel (Theresa) Dougherty, and Erin (John) McEvoy; Son-in-law of Mary Reynolds and the late Thomas Reynolds; Brother-in-law of Mary Reynolds, and Kathleen (Jeff) Mazzone; Fond uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Best dog dad to Cooper.
Edward was a decorated Chicago Police Department Sergeant. He loved country music, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Boston Red Sox, Disney, Beaches, Pools, Sun and Sand.

A visitation for Edward will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655 (111th and Christiana). Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, 16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467.
