Beloved wife of the late John Nickel.
Loving mother of David (Melodie) Merrick, Carol Merrick, and Timothy Merrick.
Proud grandmother to Lindsey (Brendan) Reilly, Liam Merrick, Adam Lesnicki, and Ashley Lawrence.
Adored great-grandmother (GiGi) to Aoife and Ronan Reilly.
Preceded in death by her parents Matthew Sherlock and Robina (nee Magennis) and her sister in laws Delores Sherlock and Maureen Sherlock.
Dear sister of Jimmy Sherlock (Marie), Tommy Sherlock, Paul Sherlock (Lucy) and Isobel Hoole (Merv).
Devoted aunt and friend to many.
As our own Irish fairy, Georgina impacted the lives of many, imparting love, wit, her latest bits of knowledge and wisdom and magic wherever she went. Whether letter, trinket or treasure, her love was felt around the world. She will be missed by many, but her spirit will live on.
Visitation Friday, March 15, 2024, 4-7pm at Curley Funeral Home (Heeney-Laughlin Directors), 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge, IL 60415.
Chapel Service at 7pm. Livestream of the Chapel Service will be available beginning at 7pm.
Private Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL at a later date.
