Huemac R. Lopez 65, February 26, 2022, lifetime resident of the south side of Chicago, Back of the Yards neighborhood. Loving son of the late Lorenzo B. Lopez and the late Soledad M. Lopez. Dear brother of Antonio Lopez, Amada (Florencio) Trujillo, Alejos (Janice) Lopez, Sr., James Lopez, Lorenzo “Aber” Lopez, Jr., Rodrigo (Debbie) Lopez, Sr., Patricia Aguilar, Iris “Bambi” Craig, the late George (Jeannie) Lopez, Sr., the late Eloy (late Nancy) Lopez, the late Dolores “Sista” (Louis) Medina, and the late Alberta “Veta” Castaneda. Huemac was a devoted fun-loving uncle and friend to many. Huemac had a passion for photography and reading books. He would surprise his nieces with special books, hand picked just for them. He would spend time thinking up themes for movies, and even wrote several screen plays. Huemac was a huge Chicago Sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.
Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Friday, March 4, 2022 9:15 am at Central Chapel, proceeding to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Ashland Avenue., Chicago for a 10:30 am Mass. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
In Lieu of Flowers… donations to the American Lung Association, National Kidney Fondation and/or the American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Please google your choice for the most current donation address.
