Janet Darlene Brandt, nee Carr. Beloved wife of Howard C; loving mother of Howard I. (Kristin); cherished grandmother of Noah and Vivian; dearest sister of Leonard Eugene (the late Linda) Carr, David (Kathy) Carr, Donna Kay (Grayson) Bell, the late Judy Holder, and Elane Sue Carr; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Darlene enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and slots. She was one of the best insurance billers in the state. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Funeral Service Saturday 11:00 a.m. Private Interment will take place in West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Open Door Rehabilitation Center, or As Good as Gold Golden Retriever Rescue would be appreciated.
