Jordan L. Lichtenstein, 84. Survived by wife Marcia, nee DiMartino; daughter Kristen (Shane) Bierwith, son Mark Lira, and daughter Kori (Jim) Palm; son of the late Irving and Freida (nee Rubin) Lichtenstein and brother of the late Eugene Lichtenstein; brother-in-law to Mamie DiMartino (Richard) Laszlo, Patricia DiMartino, John DiMartino, Susan DiMartino Glines, and Rosemary (but we call her Mozy) DiMartino; uncle Yussie to Miki (Neil) Hauser, Naomi Lichtenstein Levi, Adina Lichtenstein Richards, and Elana (Yehuda) Gabai; uncle to Brian (Lisa) Beebe, Colleen (John) Ballard, Nick (Lucy) Harrison, Laura (Tim Anderson) Harrison, Katie (David), Johnny, Mark, and Emily DiMartino. Beloved by many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Best friend of the late Bud Gower and David Mattney. Jordan was an entrepreneur at heart. He started the first Hispanic Yellow Pages “The GUIA”, where he was CFO and CEO for 24 years. He was a great businessman and boss. Jordan was loved by all who met him. He was generous, funny, smart, loved music, and loved animals (especially Frosty, Silver, KC, Fugly, Billie, Soda Pop, Luna, and Charlie). He was hard-working, confident, and always told it how it is. He loved his family, friends, wife, daughter, son-in-law, and in-laws Peggy, Paul, and Blake. He loved to travel with Marcia and later with their daughter Kristen. He fell in love with riding horses in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with the Zahourek family who he also loved dearly. Jordan also loved his “Friday Night Club” at Vince’s Restaurant, now RoccoVino’s. Jordan was a proud veteran and loved his time in Paris in the Army. Funeral service Friday, 10 AM, at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or Shriners Hospitals for Children, www.shrinerschildrens.org.
