God called Marvin Henry Juergens home to heaven on October 13, 2022. He is survived by his children: Lisa (Larry) Neal and Diane (Tony) Martino. His siblings: Eileen Day and Ron (Linda) Juergens. His grandchildren: Nicholas, Anthony, Sarah and Alexander. Marvin is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marvin was born in Chicago, IL on March 23, 1938 to Irma P. Brauer and Henry A. Juergens. Marvin was a lifelong Lutheran, baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Chicago and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Summit, IL. He attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Luther South High School in Chicago. Marvin met the love of his life in church. He was married at Zion to the late Teena Juergens (nee Thomason) and they walked in love together for fifty years, until her passing in 2015. Together, they were blessed with two children: Lisa and Diane. The Juergens settled down in Summit, IL in 1971 and were members of Zion Lutheran, Christ Lutheran Church and Risen Savior for over 70 years combined. Marvin was always involved in the church being an usher, trustee, and the first one to open the church doors each service. Marvin worked at Electric Motors Company as a crane repairman in McCook Illinois for almost 50 years. Once retired he relocated to the town of Peotone enjoying the wide open spaces and the country roads.
