Mary Jean Walsh
August 27, 1960 – April 13, 2021
Mary Jean Walsh (nee McGrail) of Oak Forest, IL passed away on April 13, 2021. Mary was a graduate of Trinity H.S. and grew up in the communities of Oak Park and River Forest, IL
Mary was blessed with a large and loving family; wife to William A. Walsh and a mother to their five children Colleen, Kathleen, Erin, Jennifer Rose, and Jimmy. Survived by Patricia McGrail (John Keefe), JoAnn (Mike Friel), John (Shelly) McGrail, Jennifer (Alex Falconer), and James (Amy) McGrail; sister-in-law to James Walsh, Catherine (Rich Tobin), John (Suzy) Walsh, Stephen Walsh, Michael (Peggy) Walsh, Thomas Walsh, Robert (Yvette) Walsh, Mary (Brian Kelly), and Kevin (Kelli) Walsh. Mary was a beloved daughter to the late John and Rosemary (Rudd) McGrail and daughter-in-law to the late James and Mary (Jackson) Walsh, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, friend, and caregiver to many.
Mary Jean was known for her big heart and putting others before herself. Mary Jean will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial visitation Monday 3-8 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL.
Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be private for family Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. via Livestream.
