Mary A. Leleika

February 22, 1934 – October 22, 2021

Mary Kucharski Guimont Leleika of Tinley Park, went home to the Lord on Friday, October 22nd, 2021 at the wonderful age of 87.

Mary is survived by her loving family, Linda (Matt) Terry, Brad (Cindy) Guimont, Dawn (Joe) Jorda, Kim (Jim) McManus, siblings, Bernie Guminski, John (Carol) Kucharski, Janet (Bill) Strauss, grandchildren, Forest, Ryan, Kevin, Caitlin, Michelle, Stacey, Thomas, David and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John & Anna Kucharski (Dzielski), first husband, Forest Guimont, second husband, Bruno Leleika and brother in-law, George Guminski.

Mary was so very loving to everyone she met. She especially loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and providing her favorite foods for special occasions. She also enjoyed many hobbies, including crocheting and travel to see family and friends.

Mary had two loves in her married life. During her younger years she was married to Forest, who died tragically in a plane accident. After the accident, Mary relocated back to Chicago and went to work at Talman Bank; a job where she met many more of her friends, including her second husband Bruno.

After retiring, she took on a job as a nanny which continued her passion for caring for others.

Mary had an insatiable quest for life. This propelled her to overcome many challenges that came her way. She has left us with so many memories and will always be in our hearts but is now resting peacefully with the Lord.
