Peter A. Nicholson
DECEMBER 24, 1959 – FEBRUARY 12, 2021
Peter was born on December 24, 1959, in La Grange, IL, and grew up in Westchester where he enjoyed golfing with his dad at Meadowlark, playing football with friends at Mayfair Park, and participating in basketball games at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church.
He married his love Alexandra in 1991 and moved to Park Ridge where Peter and Alexandra raised their two daughters. Peter was the beloved son of the late Alexander and Alexandra Nicholson, the proud and loving father of Alexis and Melina, and a cherished friend to many.
Throughout his 35-year career as an attorney, Peter concentrated his practice in medical malpractice and complex litigation. In 2000, Peter joined the law offices of Goldberg & Goldberg where he distinguished himself as one of Chicago’s elite trial attorneys.
Peter had a brilliant and inquisitive mind with a razor-sharp memory and quick wit that kept all who knew him on their toes. He was a film buff and avid reader of history books.
He was a man of faith who loved to travel with family, play golf on the weekends, and cheer on his Green Bay Packers.
Peter’s friends and family will miss his beautifully insane sense of humor the most. If a life can be measured by sheer laughter, Peter has outlived us all. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois 60181.
Funeral service will be held at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 2501 S. Wolf Road, Westchester, Illinois 60154 on Friday, February 19, 2021, at 10:00 am, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
