Age 87, a resident of Matteson formerly of Park Forest, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2020. Loving wife of the late Michael Peter Roche, Sr.; beloved mother of Daniel (Mary Lou) Roche, Christopher (Beth) Roche, Mary (Edward) Bolger, late Michael Peter Jr., Sophie (late David) Follenweider, Stephen (late Barbara) Roche, Kevin (Katie) Roche, and Kathy (Ken) Valiska; dearest sister of the late Ann Borgmann, Betty (late Elmo) Hodges, and Rita (late Bill) Taylor: cherished grandmother of James (Chelsea) Roche, Michael, Dominic, and Samuel Roche, Sydney and Ryan Roche, David, Rachel, Patrick and Christine Follenweider, Kyle, Andrew and Kyra Valiska; Michael Joseph and Luenne “Lulu” Roche, Mary, Anna, Peter, John, Sarah, Kevin Jr., Michael, Nicholas, Evelyn and Sean Roche, Andrew Bolger; proud great grandmother of Athena Bolger and Genevieve Roche; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Wilma was involved with the St. Rita School for the Deaf in Cincinnati, Ohio, the International Catholic Deaf Association and the South Suburban Catholic Ephpheta. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services: Thursday, December 31, 2020 prayer service in the funeral home at 9:00 AM leaving for St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, 4101 St. Lawrence Ave, Matteson IL 60443 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood. WEARING MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL IN ATTENDANCE. NO FOOD PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME.
