Timothy J. Rolewicz Sr.

Timothy John Rolewicz, Age 55, passed away on January 27, 2025. Tim was born in Chicago on June 29, 1969, at Holy Cross Hospital to the late Tim Rolewicz and Audrey Mae Srog, and lovingly raised by his mother and stepfather, Martin N. Srog.
A diehard Cubs fan and dedicated public servant, Tim was the Assistant Chief of the Cicero Fire Department, where he faithfully served for 28 years. His unwavering commitment to protecting his community and love for country was a hallmark of his life’s work, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
On June 26, 2003, Tim married the love of his life, Nona. Together, they built a family rooted in love, kindness, and devotion. Tim was a proud and loving father to Patricia Marie, Timothy John Jr., and Emily Mae, who carry forward his legacy of strength and compassion.
Tim was also a cherished brother, survived by Julie (the late Ed), Kevin (Karen), Joey (Michelle), Deana, Marty (Gina), Michael (Maria), Elizabeth (Terry), Lawrence (Trish), and John (Tracy). He was preceded in death by his step-sister Debbie. Tim was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will remember him for his warmth, humor, and incredible generosity.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Monday, February 3rd, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at 10:00 am at Parkview Christian Church, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, Illinois. In recognition of his dedicated service, full honors will be provided by the Cicero Fire Department.
Tim’s life was a testament to service, family, and unwavering loyalty to his loved ones, his community, and his Chicago Cubs. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were privileged to know and love him.
